2012 Macworld Asia The Best, co-hosted by International Data Group (IDG) China and Macworld China-version, is an annual competition held by Apple that awards industry vendors in the areas of accessories & service. It’s mainly geared towards commending those that have made a contribution to the Apple accessory industry in the Asia-Pacific region over the past year. It serves to select and popularize the best products of the year and announce the consumers’ most favorite brand, while also being based on a theme of being a “creative, highly efficient and leading solution”.

As the greatest exposition of the Apple industry chain in Asia, Macworld Asia 2012 was held from Aug. 2-5 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing. Macworld Asia not only provides the best exhibition stage and exchange platform for booming enterprises in the industry, but it also unveils the infinite business opportunities available to the mobile internet industry each year through its forums. By offering diverse customer experiences, Macworld Asia 2012 aimed to be a carnival of sorts for Apple fans. The expo attracted around 500 exhibitors from China and other markets such as the US, Europe, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. By displaying their latest and most spectacular products and technologies, they delivered the theme of the expo, “Connecting Experiences , Influencing Future”. Attendees of the ceremony included representatives of a number of businesses in the Apple industry chain, Expo strategic partners, and both domestic and international media.

During the expo, Stanley Yeung Wai Yung, General Manager of MiPow Limited and Chief Design Officer, made a wonderful speech on Design Closer to Our Life at the Industrial Design Forum. The award-winning products in the red dot design museum

Featuring over 1,500 products in an area of more than 4,000 square meters, the red dot design museum accommodates the world’s largest permanent exhibition of temporary design. From July 3-29, 2012, it again invites the world to attend a special exhibition showcasing a collection of award-winning products. At “Design on stage – winners red dot award: product design 2012,” enthusiasts can admire the latest trends at close range. Touching is explicitly requested. The red dot design award

The red dot design award, whose origins reach back to the 1950s, is carried out in three disciplines: the “red dot award: product design”, the “red dot award: communication design” and the “red dot award: design concept”. In 2011 alone, more than 14,000 entries from over 70 countries were registered. The award – the red dot – has established itself internationally as one of the most appreciated quality seals for outstanding designs.
